The Answer Key:
Sr No Question Answer Remarks 1 Rate of flow of charge is called Ampere 2 The unit of resistance is Ohm is derived from the relation between voltage and current V/I As per ohms law, voltage is in direct proportion to the current flowing through the conductor and constant of proportionality is called resistance. 3 When a sinusoidal voltage is applied across the inductor, the current always lag the voltage applied 4 Kirchhoff’s voltage law states that the sum of voltage drops and battery emf in a closed loop is zero 5 During electric heating, the work done by electric current is given by a formula I*R*t Power multiply by time gives the work done and work done is V*I*t 6 The action that takes place of positive plate is conversion of PbO2 to PbSO4 7 The symbol j³ represents counter clock wise rotation of vector through how many degrees? 270 8 What will happen to the speed of the DC series motor if a resistance is inserted in parallel to its field winding? increase in speed With resistance in parallel to the field winding, field flux will reduce and thus speed will go up 9 The generation voltage of large power plant is in the range of 3-33kV The voltage of generation is decided based on balancing voltage and current in the winding. It is not possible to provide insulation for very high voltage and limited to 11 kV only 10 The disadvantage with the use of cable for power distribution is high cost 11 This welding process uses welding electrodes which is fused during electric heating MIG 12 The process through which the impurities are added in a semi-conductor material is called doping 13 Dielectric strength of air at normal temperature and pressure is 30 kV/cm 14 A gear drive is a equivalent model of a transformer than voltage is represented by Torque 15 MCCB stands for Moulded Case Circuit Breaker 16 A wire is drawn to three times its original length, by how much times its resistance will change 9 times R=ρ*l/A; Volume say V remains constant; multiply denominator and numerator with l, we get R=ρ*l*l/V; therefore, R will increase by 9 times

Hi!
Can anyone please recommend the reference material for the preparation of the online exam?
I have applied for both JE and SE positions and verified for the same.
Positions include Electrical, Signal, Track machine and electrical TRS and Eletrical workshops.
Is there any seperate material to be studied for each or do i refer a common book?
Can anyone please suggest name of books or reference links?
Thanks.
There is common syllabus for the positions you have applied. The best reference book is to go back to what you have studied during first two years of engineering and the same is sufficient.
