….let's share our railways knowledge

About RailElectrica

By on May 6, 2013

Indian Railway engineers and industry associated with Railways possess a very long experience of learning what is good or bad for Railways and how to go along with it. But unfortunately it also goes away along with the superannuation/transfer  of the incumbent and never available for sharing. What and How of Railways is very well described in codes and manuals but why is not available easily. Why is generally available in noting side of the decision making process and very rarely find mention in the final document. A young engineer is always in search of “Why” and the moment the same is answered, he is comfortable in accepting what and how. When Why is not known, the basic philosophy of doing a work in the  way a designer or planner has envisaged is lost and generates many wrong doings in the system. This also results in finding fault with what has been done without understanding the circumstances prevailing at that time and the options discussed and debated with pros and cons.

Objective of RailElectrica is to provide a platform for sharing experience, knowledge, learning, pros-cons of different technologies, why it is so etc.  openly  to assist planners, decision makers, designers, maintainers  of all levels.

SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE, LEARNING, EXPERIENCE IN  THE FIELD OF RAILWAYS FOR ADVANTAGE TO PRESENT AND FUTURE OF RAILWAY TECHNOCRATES
