Rajiv Agrawal
A Bachelor in Electrical engineering from University of Roorkee, he has long experience in Electric Locos/EMUs Maintenance and Operations as well as in Traction Supply Installations. He has worked as Chief Electric Loco engineer on Central, East-Central and Western Railways. He was instrumental in setting up 3-phase Loco maintenance-facilities on Western Railways and ensured smooth change-over from 1500 V DC traction to 25kV AC traction on Western Railways. He was awarded with Railway Minister’s Award for meritorious service in EMU Maintenance and Operations on Mumbai Suburban railways. As Chief Electrical Engineer on Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation, he ensured Tender Document Preparation, Bids Evaluation and Contract Placement for DC-AC GTO Based EMU Rolling Stock for Mumbai Suburban Railways and finalized no. of Rolling Stock Maintenance related Consultancies Projects under World Bank supervision.
He has undergone Rolling-stock Maintenance Management Course on Japanese Railways, World Bank Procurement Procedures Course at Administrative Staff College of India/Hyderabad and Executive Management Course at NITIE/Mumbai. He was a Senior Professor of Electrical Engineering at Indian Railways’ National Academy (NAIR). At present he is holding the post of Divisional Railway Manager on 95 million-ton Chakradharpur Division of South-Eastern Railways which was awarded with Overall Efficiency Shield during Railway Week 2014.
